Everything you might be wondering
Is Al Islam free to use?
Yes. The Quran with its translations, tafsir and recitations, all 33 hadith collections, prayer times, reminders, the Qibla finder, the Hijri calendar, Tasbeeh, the Divine Names, notes, search, collections, reading history, text customization and the home screen widgets are free.
The free plan shows advertising, with at most five full-screen ads a day. Al Islam Premium is an optional monthly or annual subscription that removes advertising and adds backup and sync for your collections, the insights in History, unlimited prayer-time locations, and Intelligence. See the Premium page.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything in the app works without signing in.
Signing in lets you back up and sync your Collections, including the notes inside them, with Premium, and manage your subscription. Your reading history, tasbeeh records, reminders, calendar data and settings stay on your device either way.
What language is the app in?
The app's screens are in English. The Quran is available in 122 translations across 62 languages, and hadith in 5 languages.
How do I listen to the Quran?
Open a surah and tap Listen to this surah, or open a verse and tap Recitation. Choose from 126 recitations by named reciters; many highlight each word as it is recited. Four recitations are included with the app, and Save offline keeps a surah on your device to play without a connection. See Recitation.
Can I read the Quran in IndoPak or with tajweed colours?
Yes. The Arabic can be shown in eleven scripts, including IndoPak (Nastaliq and Naskh), Uthmani and the Madinah Mushaf with colour-coded tajweed. Tap the script's name under the surah title to change it. See Ways of Writing the Arabic.
Can I read several translations at once?
Yes. The Quran and the Hadith Library both let you put as many translations on screen as you like, each as its own card, in the order you arrange them. One is marked primary — the source of references and details.
